MY SERVICES
You can purchase either fine polished gemstones or uncut gemstones.
Alternatively I can source polished coloured gemstones & diamonds for you.
My objective has always been to build ethical & long-term relationships with miners, or dealers & individuals as close to the source as possible.
Additionally this reduces my carbon footprint making my business fully sustainable.
Cut & polished gemstones:
Every gemstone that I have cut, that is over 1ct will be accompanied by:-
A Report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory, an independent laboratory in London OR a report from Alan Poultney Gems;-
a worksheet produced whilst cutting each stone, stating the origin of the uncut material & its original uncut weight
Every new gemstone that I cut & polished at the request of the client, can be accompanied by a video recording the journey of the gemstone from UNCUT to POLISHED, but this should be request before the cutting process is started.
Sourcing gemstones:
If you don’t see the gemstone that you are looking for on my website, don’t be put off.
It may just be that I haven’t cut it yet, or that it just isn’t on the website yet.
If I do not have the gemstone that you are seeking I may be able to ethically source it for you using my network of miners, brokers & dealers.
AND…
I am a cutter.
I have handled, bought & dealt in rough gemstones for over 48 years.
I am the in-house jewellery designer for Jewels by Scarab, the business that I run with my wife Sue.
This combination, places me in the unique position of being able to advise on the suitability, of a gemstone for a piece of jewellery & on the setting that will best to protect & preserve it.
